Latrolet
Latrolet is a forged butt-weld branch fitting that creates a 45° lateral branch from a run pipe. MSS SP-97 design, stocked and supplied by SJS Enersol.
- Carbon steel – ASTM A105
- Low-temperature carbon steel – ASTM A350 LF2
- Alloy steel – ASTM A182 F11 / F22
- Stainless steel – ASTM A182 F304 / F316
- Other grades subject to availability
- Lateral branches at 45° on process, utility and drain lines
- Branches where the branch-to-header ratio is below roughly 0.5 and a lateral tee would be oversized
- Field or shop welding onto an existing header without cutting out a pipe section
A Latrolet (lateral outlet) is a forged, integrally reinforced branch fitting that creates a 45° lateral branch from the run pipe. Like other olets, its base is contoured to match the header and its outlet carries a butt-weld bevel for the branch pipe. Where the branch is small relative to the header, a Latrolet is usually more economical than a reducing lateral tee, and it can be welded on without cutting out a section of the header.
SJS Enersol – Stockist & Supplier of Latrolets
SJS Enersol stocks and supplies Latrolets for lines where flow must enter or leave the header at an angle instead of the abrupt 90° turn of a standard olet.
