Thredolet
Thredolet (threaded outlet) is a forged branch fitting with a female threaded outlet, welded to the run pipe so a branch or instrument can be screwed in. Class 3000 and 6000, MSS SP-97 design.
- Carbon steel – ASTM A105
- Low-temperature carbon steel – ASTM A350 LF2
- Stainless steel – ASTM A182 F304 / F304L / F316 / F316L
- Other grades subject to availability
- Instrument connections, gauge and pressure-tap points
- Drains, vents and sample points on process lines
- Small-bore branches where welding on the branch side is not practical
A Thredolet (also spelled Threadolet, or threaded outlet) is a forged, integrally reinforced fitting that is welded to the run pipe and provides a 90° branch with a female threaded outlet, normally NPT. Pipe, nipples, valves or instruments are simply screwed in, so no welding is needed on the branch side. It is available in Class 3000 and Class 6000 and is a convenient choice for small-bore tappings.
SJS Enersol – Stockist & Supplier of Thredolets
SJS Enersol stocks and supplies Thredolets for contractors and maintenance teams. Because the branch is threaded, the joint can be disassembled, which suits instrument take-offs that may need to be removed for maintenance.
